Abseil - we did it!

ABSEILING! @ TOWER PARK
on Sunday 16th May 2010 raised over £2,500 for Streetwise and sponsorship is still coming in!

A significant part of this came from LV= who doubled Streetwise manager, Alison Shelton and LV= staff member Vikki Dorrell's donations, as well as being a founder sponsor of the centre in 1998 and now its main commercial sponsor.

Thanks also to Mark and Sam from Hamworthy Outdoor Education Centre for making it a brilliantly fun day. Their instruction at the top and their confidence in both us and their equipment made it so much less scary!

Pictured right are Clifford and Toby on the way down ... and below are Ricky and Richard getting ready ...

Alison added "Now we have done it I am delighted to announce that we will make this an annual event with a double benefit - helping to ensure that the LV= Streetwise village and safety centre has sufficient funding for its long term future as well as giving the opportunity of a lifetime for lots more people to feel the fear and do it anyway!"

Get in touch NOW and leave your details - we'll contact you when next year's 'drop' is being organised!
