In order to support the schools and organisations that may find that the cost of transport to get here difficult, we are happy to suggest several options as ideas in no particular order:     

1. Share minibuses with neighbouring schools with reciprocal arrangements.

2. Approach your local Dorset Police ‘Safer Neighbourhood Team’. It is possible that police officers and staff may be able to attend LV Streetwise with your school and if so, and a police minibus is available, they may be able to supplement your transport with a police minibus.

3. Damory Coaches  has kindly arranged for a limited number of free coaches for use by groups booked into LV Streetwise on a first come first served basis and subject to availability and distance from LV Streetwise.

4. Academy Coaches Nick Ousey has kindly agreed to offer FREE minibus hire to groups from East and North Dorset areas (visiting LV Streetwise ONLY during school hours ONLY). Contact him on 07702 233067.

5. Approach local businesses – you may be lucky enough to find one which is run by parents of children in the class! Regardless of this, we have found in the past that some businesses are keen to support their local school in this way in return for the publicity a school can give them in the parents letters advising of the trip and asking for permission and contributions.

6. Approach your local Rotary Club or Lions Club.

7. Dorset Passenger Transport – DCC school buses may be available at special prices following the school runs.

8. Supportive transport companies: LV Streetwise has entered into reciprocal arrangements with several transport companies that have kindly agreed to reduce their normal hire price for groups coming to LV Streetwise “by as much as they can on the day.” None can offer a definitive price as it has to be subject to their other bookings and operational requirements on the day.
