LV= Streetwise and Kid Rapt, national wholesale suppliers of child safety equipment, are working together to provide families across the country with a range of valuable and potentially lifesaving child safety equipment and information. The vital message however is that safety products are designed to add a second line of defence for a parent: they can create a safer environment in case of accidental lapses in concentration but the best way in the world to keep your child safe is supervision.

Kid Rapt
provides child safety equipment and information to the local authority marketplace for use within projects which are targeting the prevention of accidental injuries in their communities. They are active in safety councils and regularly attend safety seminars to keep their knowledge base current. They attend all the nursery trade shows to ensure that this is matched with a knowledge of current child safety products ranges and developments. Membership of the Baby Product Association is an important part of being informed which allows them to pass on to LV Streetwise and their audience the most up to date information available.

Kid Rapt does not supply child safety equipment to the general public, only wholesale to NHS Trusts, local government, grant funded specialised projects, community action groups and charities so this is a really exciting opportunity to reach out to individual parents and cut through the bewildering number of places to go for different items.

Carol Ainge, Managing Director of Kid Rapt Ltd said “We want to provide LV= Streetwise with information without the marketing hype, in other words, what is effective for parents and the proper understanding of limitations of use of child safety products.”

The Child Accident Prevention Trust is a national charity in the United Kingdom committed to reducing the number of children and young people killed, disabled and seriously injured as a result of accidents. Katrina Phillips, Chief Executive, Child Accident Prevention Trust says "Nothing can replace adult supervision, especially of young children, but safety equipment can help parents to create a safer home environment.”

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents is a registered charity established over 90 years ago and aims to campaign for change, influence opinion, contribute to debate, educate and inform - for the good of all. RoSPA's mission is to save lives and reduce injuries."RoSPA supports the use of good quality safety equipment in the home that will help reduce the number and severity of accidental injuries, but the high level of supervision required of parents and carers must never be relaxed"
